is pashmina? Is it the same as cashmere?
The word Pashmina (Cashmere)
is derived from “Pashm” which means fine inner
wool of Himalayan goat-capra hircus goat that
resides above 10000ft. from the sea level. These
goats are domesticated in the highland of Nepal
Tibet and Magnolia and each spring village women
harvest the Pashmina by laboriously combing out
the shedding hair of live goats. After
collection the fiber goes many specialized
tasks, such as sinning, warping, dyeing, fringe
making and ironing entirely by hand
traditionally.

mean?
The composition of 70% and
30% means - the higher percentage of Pashmina is
70% and Silk percentage is 30% only. This
combination gives a beautiful sheen as well as
strength to the material. keeps our material
light and truly seasons less.
What is
a Single Ply, Double Ply, 2 Paddle, 4 Paddle
means?
Single ply, double ply and
paddle is a technical term of production
composition to make the products thinner and
heavier composition. Single Strand of wool is
used to make regular Pashmina silk blend
Pashmina: thus Single Ply, 2 Strands of Pashmina
yarn is used making a double ply. Double Ply
contains more Pashmina than single ply. 2 Paddle
and 4 Paddled Pashmina are for 100% Pashmina. 2
Paddle is looser weave, while 4 paddles is a
tighter weave.

Our productions are based on
exclusively hand loomed products. All our
products are individually hand loomed by
Nepalese craftspeople.
